Teacher Training Conferences
This innovative teacher training conference is designed to give educators accurate information to use when talking to adolescents about sexual issues. This informative training conference is presented by physicians, educators, and other qualified individuals on the medical, socioeconomic and legal implications of teen sexual activity. Key features of the conference include an STD update, laws pertaining to teen sexual activity, and a review of the Scott & White Worth the Wait® curriculum with an emphasis on effective teaching strategies and demonstrated classroom activities. The Teacher Training Conference costs $150 (+$50 late fee, refer to form for dates); price includes syllabus, light breakfast, and a "deli" lunch. Central Texas Parent Presentations
Research shows that parents are the most influential when it comes to teens' decisions about sex. Parent Presentations are offered in each school district prior to implementation of the Scott & White Worth the Wait® curriculum. A review of the curriculum is presented as well as tips for talking to teens about sex and other risk behaviors.
